On 25th June 2020 Znaniye Russian School organized the third free online round table for parents and teachers of pre-school children. The webinar was dedicated to the book called 'Journey to Bukvograd’ for children aged 4+, the third book from a series of study materials created by Znaniye and RUDN University for children growing up outside of Russia, and the ways of working with it. We have had over 30 participants joining us from different countries.
The event kicked off with the introduction from the authors of the book – the representatives of RUDN University in Moscow, Russia. It was led by Marina Kunovski. Galina Myers and Yaroslav Kobylko introduced the structure of the lessons. The book is aimed at a child getting to know letters. At the same time, the focus is also on the speaking skills development. The book has all the characters from the previous books already familiar for the children.
After the introduction given by the RUDN representatives, the webinar was then led by one of Znaniye’s teachers, Raisa, who has successfully been working with the given study material. The book is built around the concept of building up a town called ‘Bukvograd’ (literal translation would be ‘The City of Letters’) where, after learning a new letter, the children would put it in its house. Hence, whenever the whole alphabet is memorized, the city is finally built.
The book includes 40 lessons, introducing the child firstly to vowels and then to consonants, including creative tasks based on drawing and listening. A new aspect of this book is the part of the tasks where the child is ‘teaching the parent’ via explaining what he or she has learned in class. This is the unique methodological development of the authors of the book triggering mental abilities development.
All in all, ‘Journey to Bukvograd’ is a colourful, efficient study material perfectly suitable for pre-school children outside of Russia. Znaniye Russian School is delighted to continuously work with the leading universities of the country in order to provide the best educational books for the students. 25 июня 2020 русская школа «Знание» провела третий бесплатный онлайн круглый стол для родителей и учителей дошкольников. Вебинар был посвящен работе с книгой «Путешествие в Буквоград» для детей 4+, разработанной представителями РУДН и школой «Знание». Это третья книга из серии учебников для дошкольников за рубежом, которые скоро появятся на полках. Около 30 участников из разных стран присоединились к мероприятию.
Мероприятие началось с представления книги её авторами и представителями РУДН из Москвы под руководством Марины Куновски. Галина Майерс и Ярослав Кобылко рассказали о структуре уроков. Книга фокусируется на работе надо письмом и чтением, а также над развитием речи. Учебник содержит всех персонажей из предыдущих пособий, чтобы дети уже чувствовали себя близкими с ним.
После увлекательного начала от РУДН вебинар возглавила одна из преподавательниц школы «Знание», Раиса, которая уже успешно работает по представленному учебнику. Книга построена вокруг концепта создания города Буквоград. После того, как ребёнок изучает новую букву, она отправляется жить в домик. Цель – выучить алфавит и построить целый город.
Книга включает в себя 40 уроков, в которых ребёнок сначала изучает гласные, а затем согласные. В учебник также включены креативные задания (например, рисование) и звуковые упражнения. Нововведение в данных книгах – раздел «Учим родителей», в котором ребёнок должен объяснить родителю, что он выучил и почему он выполняет домашнее задание выбранным образом. Это уникальный метод авторов учебника, который помогает развивать умственные способности.
“Путешествие в Буквоград” – яркий и хорошо работающий учебник, который идеально подходит для дошкольников, растущих вне языковой среды.
